What changed

Releases of OSB and OSB Manager, with the previous bot versions that OSB 2.0.0 includes, newest first. Each note says what changed, what the default is and where it was tested.

NewOSB 2.0.0 Release,

First OSB release

  • Bug reports no longer upload anything. Preview the report, copy it or save it as a file, then attach it to a GitHub issue.
  • It includes the previous bot's changes up to version 1.2.224. New options: wear better gear you carry on town trips (Wear better gear, off by default), move hunting to the next level spot when a spot gives no XP (When there is no XP, Return to town by default), how long to wait for a party resurrection (Wait for a party resurrection (s), 20 by default), alert sounds (Alert sounds, all off) and which monsters to avoid when another player is fighting them (Avoided monsters, All monsters by default).
  • When the game's data files are not served, item names are filled in from what the server shows. Pet loot sells again on town trips. A town trip no longer stops at the smith after a skipped supply. With bag selling on, the smith sells the bag first and the pet loot after it, so pet loot sells even when the bag is full.
  • On the Town page, picking your town now sets up the town trip by itself (arrival point, warehouse, potion merchant, repair merchant, world statue). Switching the town trip on fills anything still missing. The Set up this town button is gone and the hand-saving buttons moved under Adjust by hand (optional).
  • It also takes the reliability fixes from 1.2.222 to 1.2.224: a town trip stops cleanly when the game never settles before the return scroll, an unanswered rebirth is asked again every 10 seconds, combat gear left half swapped by a death or world change is put back quietly while hunting, quest data that fails to load is retried after 10 minutes, the pet-bag-full warning shows with the chime off, and settings are saved when you close the page.
  • Wear better gear now runs before anything is sold. With bag selling on and a full bag, the smith no longer sells a piece the warehouse visit would wear.
  • Wear better gear no longer compares a necklace, earring or ring with the wrong worn piece. A carried necklace used to be measured against the weakest worn accessory, even a ring, and the move was sent to that slot, which the game refused ("Inventory rejected: 14"). Every piece now competes only for its own slot, and the plus level counts.
  • When the game refuses to wear a piece, or does not confirm it, the bot logs one line, keeps the piece in your bag, does not sell it and does not try it again this session.
  • On the Loot page, Pick up drops is now the first checkbox of the Collection group, in place of Collect drops. It is the same setting as the Turn on button on the Setup page.
  • Gear that asks for a mastery level (for example Lynx Gale Glove or Hydra Gale Breast Mail) is now read correctly: Wear better gear considers it when your mastery is high enough, and Also deposit gear requiring level now deposits it too, so gear it never matched before may now go to the warehouse.
  • Only tested in simulation, not on the live server.

NewOSB Manager 1.0.0 Release,

First release

  • Each account opens in its own browser profile: cookies, local storage and cache stay separate.
  • Auto login: the password is encrypted with DPAPI on Windows and kept in the Keychain on macOS. It is sent at most 3 times in 10 minutes.
  • Light mode stops drawing and mutes the window. Start all light opens the accounts one at a time, 15 seconds apart.
  • The Stats tab shows the hunting of every account; the SoX tab lists the announced Star, Moon and Sun drops.
  • The game's pack files are downloaded once and the other accounts read them from the same cache.
  • Windows: the Memory tab shows the memory of each game window. Low memory when a window is minimised is off by default.
  • It does not update itself. New versions are downloaded from GitHub.

Previous bot 1.2.212 New option,

Leave Star gear on the ground

  • New Loot option: Equipment: don't pick up Star gear. When it is on, the bot and the pet leave Star equipment and pick up everything else, Moon and Sun included.
  • Off by default. A Pick rule on an item still takes that item.
  • Only tested in simulation.

Previous bot 1.2.208 New button,

Sell all Star gear from the warehouse

  • New button on the Town page: Sell all Star gear in warehouse. It takes every Seal of Star piece out in batches that fit your bag, sells them at your saved repair merchant, then stops.
  • It never runs on its own. The warehouse and the repair merchant must be saved and both in reach.
  • Moon, Sun, buff-set gear and Keep names stay in the warehouse.

Previous bot 1.2.207 New option,

Join parties only while the bot runs

  • New option on the Party page: Only join and accept parties while the bot is running.
  • When it is on, Auto-recruit, accepting party-matching joins and joining the leader's party wait until you press Start. This fixes the bot joining a party after it was stopped.
  • Off by default. Accepting resurrection is not affected.

Previous bot 1.2.206 Community,

Lure stops near players or after a set number of pulls

  • Stop when this many other players are within 30 m: the lure stops when that many strangers come within 30 m. You and your party members never count.
  • Stop after this many completed pulls: it stops after the chosen number of pulls. A round where nothing was pulled does not count, and the count restarts with every Start.
  • Contributed by duan78 (#85). Only tested in simulation.
